Use lights to tell the splendid history and nightscape to show the functional quality of Ordos. In 2017, in order to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and welcome the convening of the 13th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification, Ordos carried out comprehensive landscape lighting design improvement project which was completed by the end of August.
Ordos, which means “numerous palaces” in Mongolian, is one of 18 typical regions of reform and opening up for the past 30 years; it is also an emerging economic city in Inner Mongolia, the central city of city group including Hohhot, Baotou and Ordos, one of the deputy central cities in Inner Mongolia. EXC-LED is the major provider of the project’s products and systems for the Ordos nightscape improvement project, which is divided into three districts: Kangbashi, Ejin Horo Banner and Dongsheng. The project has used nearly 1.4 million pixel lights of various types (including 650,000 EXC-P52AS pixel lights, 600,000 EXC-P42GP pixel lights, 40,000 customized EXC-P20S pixel lights and tens of thousands of other pixel lights), 150,000 sets of linear light and EXC-LED light control system. The nightscape improvement project beautifies Ordos, polishes its business card of “tourist city” and comprehensively upgrades the grade of “golden tourist belt”.
